BE CARING – YET CAREFUL

A heart-warming number of British families have signed up to have Ukrainian refugees live in their homes. And absolutely fair play to them but – controversial opinion – personally, I’m not even keen on having my own family stay over in my not-huge flat. But if I could help, I would, particularly a woman. Which leads me to think about the importance of vetting those offering their homes – especially with sex trafficking from eastern Europe a huge problem already. Sadly, sanctuary can soon turn to slavery. The powers that be need to ensure the safety of those already traumatised by war.
