A MOTHER’S DAY TO REMEMBER
Former Iranian prisoner/ hostage Nazanin Zaghariratcliffe has been home with her husband Richard and daughter Gabriella, seven, for two weeks now. It saw the first Mother’s Day the mother and daughter had celebrated together in six long years of despair and desperation. Years during which Richard fought fearlessly for his innocent wife’s freedom. Now all three have to learn to live again as a family. Must admit, I loved the fact that despite his hunger strikes, constant campaigning and heartache, Richard’s response when quizzed about finally having his wife home was, ‘I really need to tidy up a bit!’
