I’m in a new relationship and am enjoying an active sex life, but my partner started bleeding during sex and it looks like he has ripped some skin at the bottom of the head of his penis. He says it has happened before and it will be fine. Should I insist he sees someone?

This sounds like a torn frenulum, which is the piece of skin that joins the foreskin to the penis. It should heal without need of treatment. Try using lubricant to prevent it happening again but, if it recurs, he may need an operation to lengthen the frenulum.
