WHAT IS OLIO?

Olio is a free app that encourages the sharing of food and other household goods within local communities throughout the UK. By signing up, you can request or donate items, helping to reduce waste. Supermarkets and local businesses also donate to the scheme, supplying any products that are approaching their ‘best before’ date, but are still suitable for consumption. Volunteers collect from stores, so those who can’t can still have access to free food, and they use their homes as pick-up points.
