COOLING FRUIT AND VEG MAKES THEM LAST LONGER

Do you keep your fruit in a bowl? You might be storing it wrong, says new research by the waste charity Wrap. You should actually be keeping certain fruit and vegetables in the fridge at 4C, including apples, bananas, broccoli, cucumber and tomatoes. Doing so could extend broccoli’s life by two weeks and an apple’s life by 70 days – it’s an easy money saver!
