CAN I CHANGE THE TIMINGS OF MY MEDS?
Q I have been prescribed a statin to bring down my cholesterol levels and was told to take it at night.
I take my other medications in the morning and have got into a good routine with it, but I keep forgetting my evening statin. Can I take it in the morning instead?
A Some statins are best taken at night, as they reduce the amount of cholesterol that our body naturally produces and most of that production happens at night. However, they will only work if you remember to take them, so if this is an issue, speak to your GP about changing to one that can be taken in the morning.
