Orgasm to reduce blood pressure

-

Yes, really – although the effects are only temporary. Volunteers’ blood pressure readings fell by up to 13% the day after an orgasm, US researchers from Georgia State University found. This is a similar drop to taking a common high blood pressure treatment (but do speak to your GP if you are taking prescribed tablets). They reported that the more pleasurable the orgasm, the lower the readings the day after. The effect happens because orgasm triggers the release of the stressbusting hormone oxytocin.
