BE MORE MINDFUL
Mindfulness isn’t just about sitting and meditating. ‘We can introduce relaxation into our daily life by trying to be more mindful in our everyday tasks,’ says Dr Megan Jones Bell, chief science officer at Headspace. ‘This could be mindful handwashing, making a cup of tea mindfully or taking moments to check in with yourself. Rather than getting lost in the frustration of a task, acknowledge it, focus on your breathing and bring your attention back to how you’re feeling and why.’ This will bring about a more relaxed state of being.
