DICKIE DOES THE BAFTA TV AWARDS

-

THUNDER FROM DOWN UNDER!

I was reunited with Ant and Dec on the night – who won yet another BAFTA – and the chatter was all about I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! heading back to the Jungle in Oz. ‘We’re very excited. We are hoping that everything stays as it is and we can get into the country and do it. We’re really looking forward to getting back down there,’ Dec tells me.

FAMILY AFFAIRS

Sally Dynevor couldn’t have been more delighted to take home a gong for Coronation Street alongside her co-stars. She’s also hugely proud of daughter Phoebe, who has become a global star thanks to her role in Bridgerton. ‘It’s amazing; I’m so happy for her. She has worked really hard, she knows her own mind, and she’s doing really well and I’m proud of her,’ Sally tells me. Proof positive that when it comes to class acts the apple never falls far from the tree.

KEEPING UP WITH THE JONES

Pal Suranne Jones has come a long way from nights at the Soap Awards when me and our mate Sally Lindsay would party into the wee hours. ‘We’re getting old!’ she quipped. ‘We’re all so excited to be out. There’s a real buzz about it,’ she added as she stepped out with her hubby to give a nod to making telly during the pandemic. ‘It’s extra special, as we all tried hard to make beautiful programmes under such tough circumstances and produce something that is so loved.’
