WHAT HAPPENED TO MAXINE CARR?

Maxine Carr is one of just a handful of ex-prisoners to have a lifelong anonymity order. Others include child killer Mary Bell and Jamie Bulger’s murderers Robert Thompson and Jon Venables. In May 2014, the papers claimed she had married her boyfriend in a ‘lavish’ ceremony. They said she was given away by her mother, 71, who was herself jailed for intimidating a witness who gave evidence against Maxine.
