Soham past and present

Many residents of Soham say the market town was never the same after Holly and Jessica’s murder.

And like most towns in the UK, a lot has changed in the past 20 years. Many family-run businesses and the village hall have closed down, and a new school and dozens more properties have been built.

There were other, more welcome changes too – in 2004, Ian Huntley’s house where the girls were killed, 5 College Close, was bulldozed. The site now sits empty.
