A year ago, I got my friend a job where I work. She told me she had experience in PA work, but I realise now she hasn’t. She keeps making big mistakes, and helping her and covering up every day is stressing me out. I feel stuck as she needs this job. Help.

It’s one thing being a good colleague and friend, and another covering up for someone who needs help. Try to see that by doing your friend’s work for her and hiding her mistakes, you aren’t helping. Talk to her about asking for help from management – perhaps more training – rather than hiding behind you.
