Make it special

Some wrapping paper and plain greetings cards can be recycled – but glitter, foil, ribbons and sticky tape often make them tricky to process. Choose more simple (often cheaper) designs but also think about whether you really need to buy at all. Get creative and turn old cards into gift tags or postcard-type greetings. Always reuse wrapping paper and recycle any tissue that comes with mail-order or online purchases. Hand delivering? Use second-hand ribbon instead of sticky tape. Gifts wrapped in newspapers or glossy magazine pages, tied up with string, will be just as welcome and save you a fortune!
