Just five months after their engagement, on 29 July 1981, Charles and Diana tied the knot at St Paul’s Cathedral, London, watched by 750 million people around the world. Diana wore a fairy-tale gown designed by Elizabeth and David Emanuel. Its 25 foot-long train is the longest in royal history.
