A few months ago I met a man on a dating app. We are both in our 50s and it became a sexual relationship. I like him and would love this to be more, but all he wants is sex. I want us to go out, meet friends and do the things you do in a couple, but he says he’s not

interested in anything more. How can I change his mind?

It’s great that the two of you have such a good sexual connection. But saying that’s all he wants is a clear message that a longer term relationship just isn’t on the books. While it’s hard to take, it’s better to know now than a few months or years down the line.
