LOVE ISLAND,

Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-su Culculoglu won this year’s series of the reality show which follows a group of single guys and girls coupling up at a villa in sunny Mallorca. The couple won £50,000, but only after plenty of drama!

THE SUSPECT, ITV

A bearded Aidan Turner looks very different from his Poldark character Ross in this five-part drama. He plays Dr Joe O’loughlin, a clinical psychologist with a huge media profile and a publishing deal. When the body of a young woman is found in a shallow grave, Joe lends his expertise to the investigation, but in doing so reveals a dark side that raises questions about the man behind the public image. a talking-to, which makes him realise that he can’t let Jenny go… Meanwhile, sneaky businessman Stephen Reid is intrigued to learn that Jenny is the sole owner of the Rovers and is soon making moves on the tipsy landlady. So when Leo heads over to the pub, all set to pop the question with an engagement ring, will he find Jenny and

Stephen in a clinch?

Is it really all over for Jenny and Leo?

FOWLER PLAY

Eastenders star James Bye – aka Martin Fowler – tells me he can’t wait to throw shapes on Strictly when he hits the dance floor next month. He’s been getting tips from mate Scott Maslen, who took part back in 2010. ‘I’ve got big shoes to fill. He’s absolutely shredded at the moment,’ says James of his fitness fanatic pal.

‘He’s told me not to forget to eat! You burn off so much energy.’ James’ wife Victoria can’t wait to see her fella in action. ‘She’s been so supportive,’ says the dad of three.

THE ITALIAN JOB!

Alan Carr has been on the road with pal Amanda Holden for a new telly show, renovating a house in Sicily that the pair bought for just a euro. ‘It’s the most amazing experience. We are buying local, artisan and at the end we are giving the money from the sale to charity. We are immersing ourselves in Sicilian life – living my best life,’ he tells me of the upcoming BBC show. He adds, ‘We do graft though! But that’s great telly, isn’t it – watching us sweat!’

PITCH PERFECT

Mcfly stalwart Danny Jones will be back as a coach alongside will.i.am, Pixie Lott and Ronan Keating delivering the feel-good factor on The Voice Kids later this year. He says, ‘We’ve already recorded the series. I love doing the show because the kids are so excited. They’re inspiring too because they’re genuinely motivated by a pure love for music – there’s no other driving factor. And we get to see the start of something really special.’
