Naturally, the forerunners are hideously expensive - VAARA have a bright yellow ‘bowling bag’ style for £1,000 – while

Alexander Mcqueen and Fendi offerings go for £2k.

The high street is quickly following suit with a Cos version costing £59 and Mango doing a XXL shopper for £93.

Quite what the Queen, who never goes anywhere without her trusty handbag, makes of the whole thing is curious.
