I’m frightened about price rises

-

Q

Like many people, I am feeling the cost-of-living price rise. My husband and I both work but can only just make ends meet. I’m worried about falling into debt, paying for the car we need for work, and how we’ll be able to afford anything for the kids outside of bills and my credit cards. I feel sick to my stomach when I think of it and stressed so much that I can’t sleep. What can I do?

A

You’re not alone in your fears, but rather than worrying about them alone you need to talk about what’s happening with someone who can help. If the car lease and your debts are troubling you, speak to the dealership and credit card company about lower payments over an extended period. It’s in no one’s interest for you to default on your payments so ask for help. Citizens Advice can also help you to find out what you may be able to access from the government and any extra help you can get.
