An app that helps put together the perfect CV for new jobs has compiled the most common misspellings. And while I’ve been guilty of forgetting how many double ‘c’s and ‘s’s there are in successful, some of the words are surprising. So which of the below is the correct spelling?

✣ Counsilled or counselled

✣ Profesional or professional

✣ Responsible or responsable

✣ Behavior or behaviour

✣ Judgement or judgment

✣ Focused or focussed

✣ Achieved or acheved

✣ Independent or independant And if you really want to impress, avoid using the most cliched word in job applications which is ‘skilled’. Especially if you then go on to spell it wrong!
