The glorious Celia Imrie has been popping up on Britbox this summer in the classic film Highlander. ‘I had the excitement of looking into the sparkling eyes of Sean Connery as he was leaving the set and I was arriving. I melted,’ she tells me. The star – whose hit novel Orphans of the Storm is now out in paperback – has great memories of the 1986 blockbuster. ‘I was allowed to run alongside Christophe Lambert’s horse as he went into battle, but I don’t think he could have lifted me into his saddle!’
