No trip to Dublin is complete without an evening in a traditional pub (you’re spoilt for choice, as there are hundreds to choose from). The friendly Dublin boozer oozes fun and old-time hospitality. Look in at the atmospheric Long Hall, behind Dublin Castle, with its fabulous Victorian decor, and The Cobblestone, a Smithfield local with lively traditional music sessions. The Brazen Head, on the north bank of the Liffey, claims to be Dublin’s oldest pub and is a great venue for live music sessions and jolly decent grub.
