THE VERDICT

Overall, it’s not been as hard as I thought it would be and I’ve felt calmer and more in control. It’s made me realise how often I reach for a glass of wine without even thinking about it. I’ve listened to a podcast on what alcohol does to your body to help strengthen my resolve. The thought that it might have eroded away at my brain cells is, well, very sobering. I look at the 441k+ posts with the #sobercurious hashtag and 24k+ with the #sobercuriousmovement on Instagram. I give myself a little pep talk. As Thelma said to Louise at the end of that iconic film, ‘let’s keep goin’.’

Although, I’m not sure I can say a final goodbye to my good friend G&T just yet…
