THURSDAY Pick the right yogurt pot

-

For years yogurts have been sold as a seemingly healthy dessert option. But beware – some of the most popular low- or no-fat yogurts have up to 5tsp of sugar in them per portion. ‘Many lowfat, or 0% fat yogurts contain a lot of sugar,’ says Amanda. ‘As a rule, avoid these – or any of the brightly coloured ones – and go for plain Greek yogurt instead, sweetening it yourself with a handful of chopped fruit.’

LABELS DECODED IF A PRODUCT HAS 22.5G OR MORE OF TOTAL SUGAR PER 100G, IT’S A HIGH-SUGAR PRODUCT. LESS THAN 5G MEANS IT’S A LOW-SUGAR ITEM.
