Natwest has revealed that scammers are using images of celebrities on social media platforms to con customers. One transferred over £370,000 to a fraudster as part of a cryptocurrency investment scam after seeing a fake ad on Facebook with pictures of Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, while money expert Martin Lewis’ image was falsely used to lure a customer into losing £317,000 to a criminal.
