I’ve been divorced for nine years and haven’t even dated, while he’s married again. My girls tell me it’s time to date again and get out there because I am wasting my life hoping he will return. I know he won’t, but part of me still hopes he will. I feel stuck just waiting.

Sometimes it’s easier to hold on to the past because it’s safer and more comfortable than putting yourself out there and trying again. You need to think about your future, what you want from life and why. Waiting for something that you know won’t happen will waste it. Instead, use your hopes for the future to push you to move on and try again.
