FLU JAB COULD REDUCE STROKE RISK

Booked your flu vaccine? It could help prevent a stroke, says new research**. Results showed that those who had the jab were 12% less likely to experience this life-threatening event, compared to people who didn’t have their yearly top-up. Why? Scientists believe this is due to the flu itself possibly increasing the risk of stroke, meaning a vaccine may help prevent it. Go to nhs.uk to see if you are eligible for a free jab.
