‘Stalking online can be just as intimidating’
Valerie Wise, National Domestic Abuse Lead at charity Victim Support said, ‘If you’re experiencing fixated, obsessive, unwanted or repeated attention that is making you feel anxious or afraid, then you are a victim of stalking. Stalking can also happen on the internet or on social media, which can be just as intimidating. We recommend keeping a diary of events and holding on to evidence – like copies of letters, text messages and emails, and screenshots of online messages. This can help the police to understand what’s happening and deal with the offender. We offer free advice and support for anyone who has been a victim of stalking.’
