PATRICIA SAYS: I think boots and long skirts are essential in winter, and the sparkle of this Primark pleated skirt makes it Christmassy.

AMY SAYS: I am not keen on any of this and it feels really frumpy, especially the knee-high boots that won’t fit round my calves so are left unzipped.

JONATHAN SAYS: This reminds me of something John Mcclane’s wife would wear in the Die Hard movies – it’s very 80s. I’m not sure if it has a place in 2022.

Great pieces, but the boots are too heavy for the lightweight skirt and the cardi doesn’t scream Christmas to me! A cami and strappy sandals are what this look needs.

PAULA SAYS: This is a great wrap-style dress, which flatters most shapes. Wearing it with knee-length boots or trainers would make it less 50s housewife and more on-trend, while adding a wide belt would define the waist even more.
