She’s known for her sunny disposition but does Alison Hammond’s latest revelation from her night at the National Television Awards hint at tension between the This Morning presenters? The 47-year-old – who lost out in the Best Presenter category to Ant and Dec – was later handed the microphone by Phillip Schofield, 60, when This Morning won the award for Best Daytime Show. She has now revealed, ‘Phillip threw me under the bus,’ before explaining, ‘[he] said, “Alison should speak.”
I had nothing so I just said, “I should have won one of these,” and didn’t know what I was saying! I was so embarrassed.’
