BE SURE TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT

‘Make an appointment at your GP surgery or pharmacy any time from mid October. Certain factors will enable you to get it for free, including being 50 years and over or having a health condition, such as asthma. Otherwise, it costs around £15.’

CHECK YOUR HEALTH

‘Don’t have the jab if you are unwell on the day with a fever. The general vaccine is not suitable if you have an egg allergy. Ask for the egg-free one.’

REST

‘Have a good night’s sleep the night before your vaccination, as this has been shown to improve immunity.’
