Woman's Own

EMOTIONAL STRUGGLES

-

Despite being a requirement of the job for the panellists, going over difficult details of their personal lives on screen is understandably difficult, and it seems to be getting more and more draining for some of the women. Brenda Edwards recently became tearful while reading out a letter from King Charles following the sudden death of her son Jamal earlier this year, becoming choked up and struggling to get her words out. And Gloria Hunniford broke down in tears last month while remembering her late daughter Caron, who died of breast cancer in 2004. She said, ‘I didn’t mean to cry, I’m sorry. I do find it very emotional.’ Judi Love also cried on the show when she was shown a montage of her ‘Life before Loose’ which told the story of her life and career, something Judi said she found ‘overwhelming’. It all begs the question – could the cast finally have had enough of the emotionally demanding job? Only time will tell.
