GETTING THE ICK

It started as a reality TV joke about dating dealbreakers but the ‘ick’ moment is now shorthand for everything annoying about modern life. Couples wearing matchy-matchy clothing, women with chipped nail polish, anyone showing you endless pictures of their ‘cute’ dog/cat/child are some of mine... You can ‘ick’ yourself, too. I hate myself getting so into writing something after a trip to the gym that three hours later I’m still sitting there in sweaty Lycra. Not just ‘ick’ but ‘yuck’.
