-

Gillian Napier, 66, from Tyne & Wear

‘I was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2016. I had to retire from my job as a primary school teacher and I felt desolate without a purpose. But that changed when I got involved with Lymphoma Action’s “live your life” programme (lymphoma-action.org.uk) and started running voluntary workshops. Cancer turns your life upside down, but getting involved with the charity gave me a sense of purpose.’
