-

Guests will be amazed by these delicious sweet creations.

Irresistible Nuts about Chocolate Star, 571g, £6, Co-op

Imagine a Snickers chocolate bar in dessert form and this is what you get, with an attractive festive shape that looks impressive on the table. Made from rich Belgian milk chocolate and peanut mousse, with a crunchy peanut and caramel sauce within. It comes with a dark chocolate sauce to pour over and melt the star, for some table theatre. A sure favourite!

Finest Caramel Cascade Pudding, 850g, £12, Tesco

This has a moist sponge and a pleasant smooth sauce. It looks attractive and would make a great alternative for those who don’t like Christmas pudding but still want something spongey for dessert. Judges also liked the addition of the crispy balls, which added a fun dimension to the texture.

Finest Free From Stem Ginger Tiffin Cracker, 605g, £8, Tesco The stem ginger brings a lovely warmth and the biscuit adds a satisfying crunch. We loved the festive shape and gold shimmer.

The Best Passionfruit Panna Cotta Star, 651g, £7, Morrisons

Super-festive and a nice change from the usual rich desserts, this was light and luscious. The passionfruit is tangy and refreshing in contrast to the creamy panna cotta. Serves 10, and is available from 21 December.

Collection Hand-finished Berry Delice, 465g, £15, M&S

Think of this as a trifle slice with layers of sharp, zingy raspberry jelly, and smooth vanilla mousse. Hand-finished with white chocolate decorations, it makes a fruity finale.

Taste the Difference Triple Chocolate Praline Winter Forest, 650g, £12, Sainsbury’s

Just the ticket for those who love hazelnut chocolate spread. Rich white chocolate over milk and dark chocolate mousse, with a hidden layer of hazelnut ganache and a crunchy brittle-chocolate biscuit base.
