Berries
Berries get their superpowers from carotenoids and flavonoids, two classes of phytochemicals with potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Blueberries are also rich in the flavonoid anthocyanin. It’s the skin, rather than the flesh, that gives this phytochemical. Unlike frozen veg, frozen berries are processed in a way that can impact their nutrient count. I suggest at least 100g of fresh berries every week.
