The DVLA: What you need to know

-

1 If you think you may have a notifiable condition, check the regulations at gov.uk/browse/driving.

2 The DVLA may contact your doctor, request a medical examination and/ or eyesight test or arrange a driving test or assessment.

3 You may be given a shorter licence or review date, told to adapt your car, or to stop driving and surrender your licence (You can appeal if you don’t agree with their decision). 4 If someone refuses to stop driving on medical advice, or after their licence is withdrawn, we all have a public safety duty to report them to the DVLA.
