FInlay’s school about her job, she thinks she recognises his teacher, Rowan

MooDy. It was from a time when, as a young uniformed PC, she was part of a team investigat­ing the death of 16-year-old DIana HunTeR, whose body was washed up on a local beach on 31 August 1997, the same day Princess Diana died. Later, Rowan confirms that she and Diana had been best friends at school. Casey always thought that the wrong person was arrested for Diana’s murder and was proved right when the suspect was released, though she is frustrated that the case remains unsolved. But now, she receives a phone call from Rowan, who has suddenly remembered the last words Diana spoke to her in their final conversati­on, and is convinced they reveal exactly why her best friend died.
