Five animal arrivals to this country we should welcome
The world is full of amazing wildlife, perfectly adapted to living in natural habitats. But human activity and climate change has meant that animals and plants – and diseases – are travelling like never before. The UK is now home to nearly 2,000 species which are not native.
A species that ends up outside its natural range may well continue to thrive, and sometimes they can cause havoc to existing wildlife, but here are five fascinating new species we should hope are here to stay.
