Four Fixes For shoulder pain

Woman's Weekly (UK) - - Health -

1 Treat yourself

Ask your pharmacist about medication, try massage, a heat pack or hot shower, or apply ice in a damp towel for 15 minutes four times a day.

2 Ring the changes

Check whether your activities or posture are making it worse, and avoid prolonged or repetitive arm movements and carrying heavy loads – declutter your bag!

3 Keep moving

Keep moving your shoulder without straining it. Bend forward and swing your arm gently around. See more exercises at arthritis researchuk.org.

4 still in pain?

If the pain is severe or doesn’t settle in about two weeks, see your GP who may suggest physiotherapy, a steroid injection, or referral to a shoulder specialist.
