Drivers should be compelled to have regular eye tests, says a Welsh optical specialist. This follows the death of a man killed by a driver who’d ignored his optician’s advice to give up driving.
We have to pass a sight test when we take our driving test, but after that it’s our personal responsibility to ensure we continue to meet legally laid-down eyesight standards, and to stop driving and inform the DVLA if not.
