Dementia symptoms improve during summer and autumn months, according to internatio­nal researcher­s, who say brain proteins and gene activity also become measurably better. The reason isn’t clear, but while they say the discovery could lead to better treatments for dementia, it also means that more people might be diagnosed earlier if the appropriat­e tests were repeated during winter and spring.
