TROUSERS: 4 (4) 40g (50g) balls of Sublime Baby Cashmere Merino Silk Dk (75% merino wool, 20% silk, 5% cashmere) in Red (teddy Red 192)*; waist length of elastic.

FOR BOTH: Pair each of 4mm (no. 8) and 3.25mm (no. 10) knitting needles; stitch holders. Yarn is available from theknittin­gnetwork. co.uk.

TENSION

25 stitches and 28 rows, to 10 x 10cm, over 2-colour pattern, using 4mm needles; 22 stitches and 29 rows, to 10 x 10cm, over stocking stitch, using 4mm needles.
