Start saving NOW for Christmas

Park customer Natalie Pilkington, 37, from Manchester, says putting money aside each month helps her enjoy stress-free festivities

-

Seeing someone’s face light up as they open your carefully chosen Christmas gift is priceless, but December is a busy month, and it can feel all-consuming and stressful at times. That’s why I joined Park Christmas Savings four years ago, after the scheme was highly recommended by a friend. When I told family and friends, they wanted to sign up too.

Since then, I haven’t looked back. I commit to putting aside £50 a month, which helps pay for gifts, food and experiences when Christmas rolls around each year. I find it better than saving with my bank because it’s just too easy to dig into bank savings throughout the year.

One of my favourite things about Park is that they keep in regular contact throughout the year, making customers aware of any changes. This has been especially important over the past few years, given that so many retailers across the UK have faced bleak times, worsened by the impact of COVID-19. Shops are disappearing from the high street but I don’t need to worry about my savings. Not only has the scheme been running for over 50 years, but new retailers and gift card options are added all the time, which means I’m confident that my money is protected.

But the best thing of all? Knowing that I’ve given my family a great and stress-free Christmas.
