Why do I need two LPAs?

-

A property and financial affairs LPA allows an attorney to make decisions about how to spend your money and manage your assets. They can pay your bills, care home fees and living expenses. This LPA can be used while you still have capacity.

A health and welfare LPA allows an attorney to make decisions on your behalf, such as how you’re looked after. This includes choices around your medical treatments, where you live, and day-today matters such as diet and daily routine.
