Antihistamines make you drowsy

-

False. Not all antihistamines make you drowsy. Although sometimes useful, such as for infants with eczema to be sleepy at bedtime to stop scratching, most people need to be alert if working or driving. Some older antihistamines may make you sleepy, but newer ones don’t. Most are available without prescription but get your pharmacist’s advice on what suits you.
