TO MAKE THE KEY FOB

-

1 Once completed, trim round the tapestry design leaving a 1cm seam allowance on all edges.

Pin and tack a rectangle of sew-in interfacing to the underside of both the tapestry and rectangle of patterned fabric. Slip the key ring on to the ribbon and pin the raw ribbon ends together.

Tack the ribbon ends to the centre of the upper edge of the tapestry on the right side, with raw edges matching.

2 Pin the tapestry and patterned fabric rectangle together with right sides facing. Stitch the outer edges using a zipper foot on the sewing machine to get close to the half cross-stitches, leaving a gap to turn through.

3 Clip the corners and turn right side out. Press the key fob on the wrong side then slip-stitch the gap closed.
