On this day in history

The National Day of Wales and St David’s Day are celebrated on 1 March, as tradition holds that the saint died on this day in 589. His last words to his followers were, ‘Be joyful, keep the faith and do the little things that you have heard and seen me do,’ which has lived on in the common Welsh phrase ‘Do the little things in life’.
