4 fixes for... bad breath
BRUSH CLEVER
Brush your teeth, tongue and
gums at least twice daily using fluoride toothpaste. But don’t brush so hard your
gums or tongue bleed.
GO FOR THE GAPS
Clean between your teeth with interdental brushes or floss at least once a day. Get an annual dental check-up, and a scale and polish every six months.
EAT SMART
Don’t smoke, eat strong-smelling
foods or have lots of sugary foods and drinks. Keep dentures clean and remove at night. Try an antibacterial mouthwash.
SEE YOUR GP…
…if you have reflux or recurrent tonsillitis. Don’t rinse your mouth with water after
brushing your teeth, as it will wash away the fluoride.
