JAM JAR RACK

Reuse unwanted jars to create a handy storage solution.

YOU WILL NEED

✣ Offcut of wood at least 42 x 9.5cm

✣ 0.5ltr glass screw-top Kilner jars

✣ 3 x 70mm hose clamps

✣ Ruler and pencil

✣ Screwdriver

✣ 15mm screws

✣ Drill and wood bit

✣ Length of rope to hang

1 Use a pencil to make 3 equally spaced marks 4cm from the top edge at the centre of the offcut of wood and 9.5cm from either end. Use the 15mm screws to secure a hose clamp at each mark, ensuring that the tightening screw is left accessible.

2 Drill a hole near each top corner of the wood, then thread rope through and knot to hang. Loosen each hose clamp, slide the neck of each jar in place and tighten to secure them.
