Dunluce Castle
This medieval Irish castle features in the TV series
Game of Thrones as Pyke, seat of House Greyjoy. Dating from the late Middle Ages, it’s perched on steep cliffs along the coast of County Bushmills, County Antrim
Antrim. Legend has it that the kitchen once fell into the sea, and there are links with feuding clans, shipwrecks and wailing ghosts. It may even have been the inspiration for Cair Paravel in The Chronicles of Narnia by Belfast-born writer C S Lewis.
The castle is reached via a bridge from the mainland, and guided walking tours are available.
